Merlon (Paper Mario) - Merlon is a fictional character from the video game Paper Mario, created by Intelligent Systems, one of Nintendo's research and development teams. His role in the game is to provide Mario with information, usually about what should be done next to advance through the game.
Luk Van Parijs - Luk Van Parijs was an associate professor of biology in Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Center for Cancer Research. On October 27, 2005, MIT fired Van Parijs for research misconduct after Van Parijs admitted to fabricating and falsifying research data in a published paper, several unpublished manuscripts, and grant applications.
Abstract (summary) - An abstract is an abbreviated summary of a research article, review, or any in-depth analysis of a particular subject or discipline, and is often used to help the reader quickly ascertain the paper's purpose. When used, an abstract always appears at the beginning of a manuscript, acting as the point-of-entry for any given scientific paper or patent application.
Gyricon - Gyricon is a type of electronic paper developed at the Xerox PARC (Palo Alto Research Center). It has the same properties as paper: It's flexible, contains an image, and is viewable from a wide angle, but it can be erased and written thousands of times.
