Spatial memory - In neuroscience, spatial memory is the part of memory responsible for recording information about one's environment and its spatial orientation. For example, a person's spatial memory is required in order to navigate around a familiar city, just as a rat's spatial memory is needed to learn the location of food at the end of a maze.
Spatial Data Transfer Standard - Spatial Data Transfer Standard, or SDTS, is a standard used to describe earth-referenced spatial data. It was designed to easily transfer and use spatial data on different computer platforms.
Spatial network - A spatial network is a network of spatial elements, typically in urban or building space. Spatial networks are used to determine the social usage of space, and are derived from a maps of open space within the urban context or building.
Spatial filter - A spatial filter is an optical device which converts incoherent light into sphere-waves or plane-waves, thereby increasing the light's spatial coherence. Spatial filters are typically used to "clean up" the output of a laser which has passed through dirty or low quality lenses and mirrors.
